Put the company in the best light possible
Logos should be quickly remembered, recognized and recalled
Logos should be reproducable in many sizes, down to a 1/2"
Logos should be one color (black)
Avoid screens or tints
Think Gestalt "Figure/Ground"
White areas can be used effectively
Heavy is better than thinner
Put lines, patterns, arrows, et cetera in upward/positive
